Skin Tags - a Skin Tag is a common skin growth that looks like a small piece of hanging skin, often described as bits of skin-or flesh-coloured tissue that project from the surrounding skin from a small, narrow stalk. They typically occur on the neck, underarms, eyelids, and under the breasts. They are harmless and do not become cancerous or malignant. Skin tags are usually inherited.

Milia - Milia often referred to as (milk spots), they are keratin-filled cysts that can appear just under the epidermis. They are common in people of all ages, they appear mostly on the face. These are easily removed by Vascu-Lyse in one session.

Cholesterol deposits - Facial Cholesterol Deposits (Xanthomas) occur on the eye lids, usually on both sides (not always). They are yellowish plagues of lipids, soft, and slightly raised bumps.

Treated blemishes include:
Hyperpigmentation (sun or age spots) - Hyperpigmentation is a common, usually harmless condition in which patches of skin become darker in color then the normal surrounding skin. This darkening occurs when an excess of melanin, the brown pigment that produces normal skin color, forms deposits in the skin. Age or “liver” spots are a common form of hyperpigmentation. They occur due to sun damage. These small, darkened patches are usually found on the hands and face or other areas frequently exposed to the sun.
Hyperpigmentation (Age/Sun Spot) Before & After
Telangiectasia (broken capillaries/fine red lines) -Telangiectasia (broken capillaries) most commonly found on the cheeks and nose area, these appear as small red/pink threads under the skins surface. Broken capillaries occur when the capillary walls narrow and widen too quickly causing the muscles in the walls to tear. This in turn allows the blood to seep out resulting in broken capillaries
Telangiectasia (Broken Capillaries) Before & After
Spider Angioma (spider veins) - is a combination of a ruby point and telangiectasia. They are often found on the face, especially around the eyes and nose. Causes are very similar to telangiectasia. Dehydrated, dry and sensitive skins often have thin skin that provides less protection and therefore, these skin types are the most commonly affected.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the VascuLyse work?
VascuLyse is the brand name of advanced esthetic equipment that uses a mild current to induce coagulation (turns fluids into a solid mass) within the distended (broken) capillary. The body then absorbs the unused capillary. This treatment is called Capillary Coalysis, The process by which unsightly, distended capillaries are absorbed and eliminated by the body.
Is it Safe?
The disposable, sterile stylus tips are used only once, insuring your complete safety.
The treatment is performed by me, Angela Bacon (I'm a professionally certified technician), who observes the strictest standards of hygiene. Skin reaction after the treatment is minimal and disappears after a few days. You should expect slight inflammation and scabbing. Scarring is not possible as the dermis is not penetrated.
Is the Treatment Painful?
This non-invasive procedure is relatively painless. It uses mild currents that have been employed in the esthetic world for more than four decades. At the very most, some patients may feel a slight pricking or burning sensation.
Is it Really Permanent?
Treated capillaries or skin tags will not return. New ones may appear somewhere else, but treated blemishes will be a thing of the past. Depending on the blemish being treated, you may need 1 to 3 treatments.
What to expect after the treatment?
Correct aftercare must be followed and will be explained. The body’s lymphatic and circulatory systems will eliminate any coagulated capillaries by phagocytosis (the body's way of elimination). Blood flow will be redirected into neighboring capillaries. Any tiny scabs will heal within 3 to 21 days. There is never any scarring. The eliminated capillary is eventually replaced by a new, healthy capillary thus improving the skin’s health.
What can I do to prepare for my treatment?
Drink plenty of water before and after your treatment and keep your treated area’s moisturized, skin hydration is key to less healing time.
What causes my Broken Capillaries (Telangiectases)?
Dilated capillaries show up as we age, usually around 40 (sometimes younger). They are caused by a number of factors:
-
Heredity (fair thin skin, cold Northern climates)
-
Sun exposure
-
Drastic and rapid changes in temperature (from cold to extreme heat)
-
Alcohol abuse
-
Hot and spicy foods
-
High blood pressure
-
Menopause
-
Medication
-
Injuries

Treatment for warts, beauty marks, moles and varicose veins can only be treated by a physician.

What should I expect after my treatment?
Healing time after your blemishes are eliminated is minimal, however there are some suggestions to speed your healing.
-
First and foremost: Don't pick your scabs, removal of scabs may leave red markings (Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation) which may last several months.
-
Cleanse area very gently with cleanser, recommended for your skin type. Do not use face cloth or facial brush.
-
Refrain from strenuous physical activity and exercise for 48 hours following treatment. An increase in blood flow may rupture the coagulation of the capillary and cause treatment failure.
-
Abstain from using saunas, hot tubs, whirlpools or swimming for 48 hours following treatment.
-
Refrain from taking Aspirin for 48 hours after treatment
-
Apply recommended moisturizer to area
-
Apply SPF to treated areas until completely healed.
-
NO tanning salons or sun bathing
-
You may wear make-up, apply to area very gently using clean fingers (sponges hold bacteria).
